Eliza Howell Park Master Plan
A 250-acre park in Detroit’s northwest Brightmoor neighborhood, Eliza Howell Park is Detroit’s 3rd largest park and home to prairie meadows, hardwood forest, and the confluence of two branches of the Rouge River. Eliza Howell Park has a focus on natural areas management, art engagement and nature-based play. The master plan, completed in collaboration with Wade Trim and Sidewalk Detroit, aimed to expand the improvements implemented over the last 8-10 years (in a previous master plan completed by livingLAB!) into a holistic vision for the park that includes a vast network of trails and paths, the Rouge Greeenway, nature-based play, education and access as well as necessary infrastructure to support the park.
